Ward Club Speaker Series – Protecting Your Health with Dr. Arthur Lavin

Join us on April 23rd, 7PM at the Beachwood Library for our Ward Club Meeting and second Speaker Series Event.  

As we struggle with current events on the state and federal level, the Beachwood Democratic Ward club is hosting a series of speakers on how we can help and protect our local community.  This month, local pediatrician Arthur Lavin will join us to discuss immunizations, social health, and protecting our children.   We hope you will join us!

Arthur Lavin, MD, has been married for over 40 years and has three children. He is retired now, but owned the practice Advanced Pediatrics, and practiced pediatrics in the Cleveland community for over 25 years.
He serves on the Board of one of the region’s largest philanthropies, the St. Luke’s Foundation.
He serves on the Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics charged with developing national policy on matters pertaining to the psychological and social health of all children for the AAP.
Dr. Lavin also has long co-chaired the Doctors for Health Care Solutions, a group of hundreds of Cleveland physicians organized to promote health justice, and is the Ohio Co-Director of the national Doctors for America.
He has authored two books on parenting, Who’s the Boss: Moving Families from Conflict to Collaboration, and the Dummies book on sleep: Baby &Toddler Sleep Solutions for Dummies.
