November 2023 Regular Election

On June 14th, 2023, the Ward Club met as a body and considered several qualified candidates for both the Board of Education and City Council. We are grateful that we had so many candidates apply for endorsement!

The Ward Club is proud to endorse the following candidates for Beachwood offices:

Board of Education

City Council

Issue 1 – Vote YES

Issue 1 is the ballot initiative to ensure that a person’s reproductive rights are directly written into the Ohio Constitution and cannot be removed by an overzealous legislature and judiciary. You can read the text of the amendment by going to the Ohioans for Reproductive Freedom website.

The Beachwood Democratic Ward Club strongly recommends a YES vote on Issue 1. Please note, this is different from the August special election, in which we recommended a NO vote. This election is different. VOTE YES ON ISSUE 1 ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7th.

You can learn more about Issue 1 by going to Learn More about YES on Issue 1.

Issue 5 – Vote YES

Issue 5 is a levy to support Cuyahoga Community College. It is renewal of 2.1 mills with an increase of 0.4 mills. Tri-C provides opportunities for thousands of people across Cuyahoga County and is an invaluable resource for Beachwood and communities across our area. We recommend a YES vote on Issue 5.
